These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Quiralo, including the website at quiralo.com, the web application, and related services (together, the "Service"). The Service is operated by [Legal entity name] ("we", "us", "our"), [Registered business address]. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Quiralo is an online writing workspace that provides a document editor and AI-assisted features such as autocomplete suggestions, grammar checking, rephrasing, style profiles, research, and publishing to your own platforms. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
2. Accounts
- You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country, to use the Service.
- You must give accurate information when you register and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
- Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
3. Subscriptions and payments
Quiralo offers a free plan and paid subscription plans. Prices and plan features are listed on our pricing page.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Your purchase is also subject toPaddle's Buyer Terms.
- Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually, and renew automatically until cancelled.
- You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access to paid features until then.
- Applicable taxes (such as VAT or sales tax) are calculated and collected by Paddle.
- We may change prices for future billing periods. We will give you reasonable notice before a price change affects your subscription.
- AI credits included in a plan reset each billing period and have no cash value.
Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
4. Your content
You own the writing and other material you create or upload to the Service ("Your Content"). We do not claim any ownership of it.
You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, store, process, and display Your Content only as needed to operate and provide the Service to you, including sending relevant portions to our AI providers to generate suggestions you request, and publishing it to destinations you configure. This licence ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except for routine backups that are deleted on their normal schedule.
We do not use Your Content to train our own AI models. You are responsible for Your Content and for making sure you have the rights to upload and publish it.
5. AI-generated output
AI suggestions are generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or similar to output produced for other users. You are responsible for reviewing anything you choose to accept and publish. Subject to these Terms and applicable law, we assign to you any rights we may have in the output generated for you.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- break any law or infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
- create or distribute content that is unlawful, sexually exploits minors, harasses others, or promotes violence;
- generate spam, malware, or deceptive content intended to mislead people;
- probe, scan, or attack the Service, or bypass usage limits, credit limits, or security measures;
- scrape the Service, resell access, or use it to build a competing product;
- share your account or API keys with others outside your plan's allowance.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.
7. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party providers (for example, AI model providers and Paddle for payments) and lets you connect your own external platforms. We are not responsible for third-party services, and your use of them may be subject to their own terms.
8. Our intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, and branding, belongs to us and our licensors. These Terms do not give you any rights to it beyond using the Service as permitted here.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Where reasonable, we will give you notice and a chance to export Your Content first.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Keep your own copies of important work.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 50 if you have not paid us anything. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will notify you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [Country / state], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This does not deprive consumers of protections under the mandatory laws of the country where they live.
